Treasure Island is the location of the Port Chicago mutiny trial. There are often World War II exhibits at the Treasure Island Museum and the events of Port Chicago are often regualarly included in their programming. Call 1-415-413-8462 or visit the website for more information.
There are currently plans to permanently memorialize the Port Chicago 50 on Yerba Buena Island.
Fun Fact: Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island are at the same location. Yerba Buena is the hilly natural part of the island, whereas Treasure Island is the flat man-made portion of the island.
